Job Detail
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings following NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical work.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Work with power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Install wiring for low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper grounding and safety measures.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations during renovation or new construction projects.
- Ensure all work adheres to local codes, safety regulations, including NEC compliance for all electrical installations.
- Assist in the planning and layout of electrical systems based on schematics and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper safety procedures at all times.
- Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC codes, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and low/high voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment required for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Experience working on complex electrical systems in industrial settings or large-scale construction projects is a plus.
- Additional maintenance person or frame carpentry skills are beneficial but not mandatory. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in electrical systems while maintaining high safety standards across various environments.
