- OverviewWe are seeking skilled and dedicated Ironworkers to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel erection and miscellaneous steel installation, with the ability to read blueprints and adhere to industry codes and standards. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in constructing and maintaining various structures, ensuring safety and quality throughout the process.
- Responsibilities- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.- Assemble and install metal frameworks, including beams, columns, and trusses.- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.- Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed to transport materials on construction sites.- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.- Perform pipe threading and press brake machine operations when required.- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Qualifications- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar construction role.- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction codes and standards.- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and welding techniques.- Experience operating forklifts is preferred.- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job site locations.
