Job Detail
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend APIs powering our scientific computation platform
- Architect and manage the infrastructure that supports large-scale compute clusters and distributed workflows
- Build automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud and on-prem compute resources
- Implement observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing) for distributed services
- Manage data pipelines and services integrating large, multi-format scientific datasets
Requirements
3 years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles- Strong proficiency in Python and experience designing and maintaining REST or gRPC APIs
- Strong foundation in backend development, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
- Understanding of system monitoring, alerting, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, load balancing, security)
Preferred Skills
Passion for scientific computing, high-performance systems, and engineering excellence- Familiarity with HPC, GPU computing, or scientific simulation systems
- Experience with cloud networking, VPC management, and hybrid infrastructure
- Familiarity with container orchestration across heterogeneous compute (CPU/GPU/FPGA)
- Experience with on-premise infrastructure
- Experience with performance profiling and debugging at the system level
