Job Brief
as an industrial painter/sandblaster, you will be required to sandblast and paint structural metal assemblies, flares, tanks, heaters, etc.

Job Detail
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of metal parts, structures, or machinery for painting or coating applications.
  • Apply industrial and construction-grade paints using airless paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, or spray guns to achieve smooth, even finishes.
  • Use hand tools such as grinders, scrapers, sanders, and wire brushes to remove rust, old paint, or surface contaminants before painting.
  • Handle materials safely by utilizing forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment for moving heavy components or materials.
  • Conduct surface inspections with precision measuring instruments to ensure proper preparation and coating thicknesses.
  • Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during sandblasting and painting processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are upheld.
  • Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as needed within the manufacturing environment.
  • Support quality control efforts by inspecting finished surfaces for defects or inconsistencies and making necessary touch-ups.
  • Document work processes accurately in logs or reports to ensure traceability and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Previous experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or auto body repair is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving machining, fabrication, or assembly processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and auto painting methods.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Understanding of materials handling procedures within a warehouse setting.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and surface preparation.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
