Job Detail
  • Responsible for performing all assigned painting and blasting duties in a professional manner
  • Assist in performing inside and outside painting and blasting duties in a productive manner to include:
  • Preparing surfaces before painting
  • Applying specified coatings of paint
  • Preparing paint and blast by mixing components accurately * Perform all activities in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Utilize standard blast and paint equipment such as conventional and airless spray equipment, motorized lifts, brushes, rollers and other related equipment
  • Review paint manufactures specs in addition to customer requirements and apply as required
  • Dispose of residual materials appropriately
  • Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Prior work related experience strongly preferred.
  • One+ year of industrial painting / blasting experience required, epoxy paint experience preferred
  • Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality, raw materials and other techniques, methods and tools involved in the process of painting industrial structuresAny equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education or skill in the painting of industrial structures approved by Management/Human Resources.
  • PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sitting or standing for periods of time. walking, climbing, crawling, bending, twisting or stooping. may be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations if stepping into a manufacturing area. could be exposed to heat or humidity, cold or outside elements. PPE required while in manufacturing areas. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and complete a respiratory fit test.
