  • Utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality.
  • Execute the most cost-effective method to fulfill customer and code requirements.

  • Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of related experience(preferred)
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install all electrical segments in equipment such as plant lighting, installing motors and drives.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair all electrical equipment, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, complex timing, inspection devices, motors and VFDs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems and equipment.
  • Identify inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinate to resolve.
  • Program logic controls (PLC) for proper equipment operation.
  • May assist in the design, experimentation, and/or installation of all new equipment or electrical procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the group. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and writ10instructions.
  • Assure and maintain safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  • Qualifications
  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through Associate’s Degree or through equivalent electrical work experience.
  • Job related experience for 3-5 year(s) minimum.
  • Experienced and/or knowledge with programming and troubleshooting PLC, HMI and industrial electrical networking is helpful but not required, the willingness to train and learn is required.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: all assigned equipment, Multimeter, electrical-mechanical devices, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, Allen Bradley and similar PLC’s, computers and digital devices.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling, working in confined spaces along with other safety practices and basic knowledge of national electrical code (NEC).
  • Thorough understanding of the operating principles of electrical equipment, testers, hand tools and the ability to use logic to troubleshoot.
  • Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
  • May require working with or near energized 480 VAC circuits.
  • Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
  • Ability to run conduit from 1/2″-4″ (both EMT and Rigid) As well as cut and thread.
  • Must be able to work safely outside in any and all weather conditions.
  • Possess own tools.

  • Working Conditions
  • Must be able to climb, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead on a regular basis.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Work on overhead tasks as a regular assignment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs including OSHA approved construction ladders or stairs.
  • Possess good vision, normal or corrected.
  • Walk significant distances during the workday.
  • Ability to use or wear required safety equipment including but not limited to. hard hats, body harnesses, fall arrestors, safety footwear, gloves, hoods, and face or eye shields.
