Job Detail
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to industrial electrical systems.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and adhere to NEC standards.
- Perform maintenance on electrical components in both new construction and renovation projects within industrial facilities.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Assist with installation of control panels, wiring, and conduit runs on construction sites or existing facilities.
- Conduct inspections to diagnose issues with electrical systems and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services during renovation projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and low/high voltage wiring.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices including ohmmeters.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by project specifications.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is preferred.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification is required. additional certifications related to high voltage work are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects while utilizing advanced electrical skills in a dynamic industrial setting.
- Pay: From $39 per hour
- Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
