Job Detail
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and identify potential challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Maintain and update a database of historical costs and pricing for future reference.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrical estimator in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation processes.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications or a degree in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus.
