- Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems
- Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings
- Create and review Standard Operating Procedure SOP documents
- Follows and guides small preventive maintenance programs
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis
- Lead training programs for Automation Technicians I and II
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology integration
- Conduct audits and inspections for compliance and quality assurance
- Analyze performance data and identify process optimization opportunities
- Conducts advanced Allen Bradley (AB) PLC control-level issue diagnosis using ladder logic and Control
- View HMI
- Leads change management process and develops complex PLC ladder code changes using Rockwell
- RSLogix family IDE’s (5000 preferred)
- Utilizes AutoCAD proficiently for reviewing, developing, and maintaining electrical schematic and conveyor layout drawings
- Documents and communicates control system and equipment configuration changes
- Completes advanced safety training and ensures compliance with safety programs, policies, and procedures
- On-call availability as needed

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; prefer a 2-year professional electrical training degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field - Minimum of 6 years of extensive experience in Allen Bradley (AB) PLC control-level issue diagnosis using ladder logic and Control View HMI
- At least 6 years of experience with AutoCAD for control layout design and schematics
- Proven track record of training others and developing comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for complex tasks
- 4-5 years working in material handling industry or equivalent industry experience
- Advanced experience with CMMS platform and PLC’s, with basic Software knowledg
- Working knowledge of handheld and power tools
- Advanced knowledge of PLCs and motor control
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls defects
- Advanced ability to interpret both mechanical and electric drawings and schematics
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot all material handling equipment and components
- Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
- Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language ~
