Job Detail
- Inspections, installation, adjustments, repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems including boilers, fan coil units, air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, fans, VAV boxes, rooftop units, pneumatic systems, fan coil units, lab ventilation, etc
- Refrigeration inspections, adjustments, appliance repairs and maintenance
- Usage of HVAC automated management systems for monitoring
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Document work orders and maintenance activities in the ticketing system
- Adhere to client’s safety regulations, legal restrictions, and building codes
- Fire safety system inspection, repair and maintenance
- Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift
- Assist in emergencies, as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience

Physical Demands
The position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting of up to 50 pounds- The HVAC Technician will regularly use their hands to handle tools and operate equipment, and must occasionally work in cramped spaces or at heights
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
- Good hygiene skills are required

Other Requirements

Work Environment
This role operates in a commercial building setting and requires regular use of hand tools, power tools, and ladders- The technician will work in a variety of settings, including utility rooms, rooftops, and office spaces, and be exposed to electrical hazards and other safety risks
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Required Education And Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience is preferred
- Journeyman/Apprentice level candidates are preferred
- OSHA safety certifications are preferred
- EPA 608 certification
