Job Detail
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
- Ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
- Repairs Troubleshooting
- Diagnose issues with HVAC equipment and replace or repair faulty components
- Repair leaks, motors, electrical connections, and other system parts
- Testing Calibration
- Test HVAC systems for proper operation, airflow, temperature, and humidity control
- Calibrate thermostats, sensors, and system controls
- Refrigerant Handling
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
- Customer Service
- Communicate clearly with customers about system issues and recommended solutions
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Safety
- Follow company and industry safety guidelines
- Properly handle tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
- Equipment Care
- Maintain tools and service vehicle in good working condition
- Ensure parts and supplies are available as needed
- Professional Growth
- Stay current with new HVAC technology and best practices
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an HVAC technical program preferred
- EPA 608 certification (required for refrigerant handling)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and basic plumbing systems
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
