Job Detail
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and installation requirements.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any issues to management.
- Skills
- Proficient in ammonia refrigeration systems and appliance repair techniques.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, including refrigerant handling and system mechanics.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively for installation planning.
- Experience in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems is a plus.
- Capable of performing plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations when necessary.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to build or modify existing systems as needed.
