- A strong communicator and a natural at explaining basic maintenance suggestions to customers
- You enjoy training and mentoring apprentices What You’ll Do: Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers
- Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of those heating, air conditioning and ventilation units
- Maintain proper inventory, parts, tools, and knowledge in using appropriate safety equipment in the vehicle
- Mentor and train apprentices on the job and provide them with learning opportunities
- Diagnose service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations
- Excellent customer service abilities in dealing with customers to resolve technical, logistical, and scheduling issues
- Perform quality work with honesty and diligence and follow company procedures and values Must Haves: 5+ years of field experience
- Active Driver’s License
- Tech Savvy – The ability to use tablets and learn work related software with ease
- Verifiable experience to develop quotations for repairs and installations of replacement equipment
- Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals
- Proven ability in installing, replacing, and serving HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties
- Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
- To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit. stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls. hear, and talk.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required.
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
