Job Detail
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on vehicles and equipment (oil changes, lubrication, filters, and inspections).
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Replace or repair defective parts such as brakes, clutches, hydraulic hoses, bearings, and belts.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform minor welding, cutting, and fabrication when necessary.
  • Assist in overhauls of engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems under senior guidance.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records for all serviced equipment.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and safe.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanic I personnel.
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment or trucks.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system repair.
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and use diagnostic tools.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability.
