Job Detail
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on vehicles and equipment (oil changes, lubrication, filters, and inspections).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts such as brakes, clutches, hydraulic hoses, bearings, and belts.
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform minor welding, cutting, and fabrication when necessary.
- Assist in overhauls of engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems under senior guidance.
- Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records for all serviced equipment.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and safe.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanic I personnel.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment or trucks.
- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system repair.
- Familiarity with DOT and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and use diagnostic tools.
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability.
