Job Detail
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and paving machines with precision and safety in mind.
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by performing tasks like rebar installation, concrete forming, and site grading.
- Manage concrete pumping and finishing to achieve smooth, durable surfaces according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure proper placement of materials, including concrete and asphalt.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal functioning and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
- Support the delivery and transportation of materials using commercial vehicles and ensure compliance with all safety regulations during transit.
- Follow detailed project plans and technical drawings for paving layouts, ensuring accuracy in execution.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing equipment and disposing of debris responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about project progress, equipment needs, or safety concerns.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, concrete mixers, paving machines, and concrete pumps.
- Strong knowledge of construction site procedures including concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating commercial vehicles safely on job sites.
- Experience working on paving projects or in similar construction environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety protocols on busy construction sites.
