Heavy Equipment Operator

Prospect Construction is looking for Operators to join our crews in Montana for projects within a 3 hour radius of Missoula, MT.
Current Project Location: Arlee, MT
** This is a Union Position, must be a member of the local operators union or willing to sign up.**
Hourly Wage + Union provided benefits
Prospect Construction is a Heavy Civil Contractor that specializes in water and wastewater treatment plants, hydraulic structures/facilities, shoring systems, large concrete tanks, pump stations/process facilities, dewatering, major excavations, structural steel, process equipment, and mechanical systems.
Heavy Equipment Operator: Experience in mass excavation, grading, finish grading around structures and utilities, loading trucks. Able to read survey staking and understand cuts and fills.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures.
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
Ensure company equipment, material and the worksite are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
Maintain daily records.
Inform supervisor of any repairs or maintenance requirements.
Ability to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
Properly follow all company policies and procedures in accordance with the OSHA and MSHA regulations for safe working practices and environments.
Proficiently and safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment in remote locations, variety of terrain, and ground conditions, tight spaces and around light or high-volume traffic areas.
Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
Ability to walk over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Ability to climb stairs or ladders.
Ability to work in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and walking.
Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements:
Ability to transport themselves to and from the worksite each day.
Member of the Operators union or willing to join
