Job Detail
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks struts replacement, and fluid checks to keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Repair and overhaul heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery by utilizing hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed for equipment repair or customization using welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs to ensure all machinery meets safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed. interpret schematics for complex troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or components to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities. lift heavy components safely through heavy lifting techniques.
- Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair in a dealership or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and tire service.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, alignment devices, and maintenance equipment necessary for repair tasks.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately. excellent mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types including industrial equipment.
- Customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving. capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
