  • Role Overview
  • As Senior Estimator, you’ll lead the preparation of detailed and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil and highway projects. You’ll review plans, analyze site conditions, evaluate subcontractor pricing, and ensure accuracy and competitiveness in every bid. This role also involves supervising a small team and participating in pre-bid reviews to position the company for success.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions for accuracy and constructability.
  • Manage estimating schedules and resources to meet bid deadlines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist with contract reviews.
  • Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope and pricing.
  • Lead and mentor estimators. participate in pre-bid meetings and estimate reviews.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including 5+ years in estimating.
  • Proven experience with DOT projects (TxDOT or similar).
  • Proficiency in HeavyBid or comparable estimating software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
