Job Detail
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning systems and HVAC equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and other mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems as needed
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and system troubleshooting
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems when required
- Operate vehicles safely as a driver to reach various job sites
- MUST be able to pass a drug test
- Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems
- Knowledge of refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, and appliance repair techniques
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and property maintenance
- Familiarity with plumbing systems associated with HVAC installations and repairs
- Experience working with field service operations in diverse environments
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential for site visits
- This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship and continuous learning within the HVAC industry.
- Pay: From $20 per hour
- Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
