Job overview we are seeking a dynamic and skilled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (hvac) service technician to join our team.

Job Detail
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct equipment repairs using various tools and techniques such as welding, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Install new HVAC components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of all repairs performed.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades across multiple sites.
- Use mechanical skills to perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to refrigerants (including ammonia) and electrical systems.
- Operate company vehicles safely as a <.PERSON>. driver to reach job sites promptly.
- Assist with the installation or repair of appliances or mechanical equipment as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls ensuring minimal downtime for clients’ critical systems.
- Stay current with industry advancements in HVAC/R technology by participating in ongoing training.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance backgrounds preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is highly desirable.
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork, and refrigeration equipment.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or specialized testing instruments for troubleshooting electrical components.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for repair or installation tasks.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. experience as a <.PERSON>. driver preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude complemented by field service experience across diverse environments.
