• Farmington Valley Plumbing is growing, and we’re building out our HVAC team. We’re looking for an experienced, motivated HVAC Technician/Installer who’s confident in diagnostics, start‑ups, and clean, code‑compliant installs. If you’ve led whole‑home projects and can handle light commercial work—or you’re eager to learn—we want to talk.
• About the Role
• This full‑time, year‑round position is more than swapping parts. You’ll take the lead on complete projects—from planning and materials through commissioning and closeout. You’ll collaborate with our crew using ServiceTitan to manage proposals, work orders, and documentation. We service and install a wide range of systems: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, central A/C, ductless mini‑splits, air handlers, hydronic/steam components, and controls.
• What You’ll Do
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Lead high‑quality installs (ductwork, line sets, venting, condensate, controls/thermostats)
• Perform start‑ups and commissioning. verify performance and comfort outcomes
• Plan jobs: stage materials, coordinate permits/inspections with office, and keep clean records in ServiceTitan
• Communicate options and recommendations to customers with clarity and professionalism
• Mentor apprentices and collaborate with our plumbing team on integrated systems (e.g, boilers, indirects)
• ✅ What We’re Looking For
• Strong hands‑on experience in residential HVAC. light commercial a plus
• Project leadership skills—planning, organizing, executing to completion
• Solid troubleshooting across heating/cooling (hydronics experience is a big plus)
• ServiceTitan familiarity (or a willingness to learn quickly)
• EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• CT HVAC licensing S2 preferred
• Positive attitude, customer‑first mindset, and dependable
