  • Advertised Job Summary Groundskeeper (Building/Grounds Supervisor I) Salary: $34,532 – $43,165 per year, USCA Landscaping and Ground Services
  • At direction from Landscape Manager, performs hands on grounds keeping and landscaping activities to meet University goals and objectives. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of grounds keeping maintenance standards, requirements, and tasks. Enforce and/or practice safe work habits. Knowledge of sprinkler system design, maintenance and turf grass management. Knowledge of personal computer and Excel spreadsheets. Good skills in writ10and oral communication. Minimum requirements: Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 1 or more years of job related experience. Preferred: A herbicide license, horticulture training, and experience with operation and maintenance with large irrigation systems. Application deadline: December 1, 2025. USCA is an AA/EOE. Keeps inventory and performs maintenance of all ground equipment and schedules maintenance and repairs for equipment. Prepares budget requests for anticipated grounds needs. Maintains records for pesticides and other chemicals. Utilizes work management software to track grounds work and costs.

  • Maintains and troubleshoots turf irrigation issues. Sets and maintain irrigation clocks. Replace spray heads and irrigation lines to ensure proper operation. Operates motorized equipment, such as tractors, graders, front-end loaders, back-hoes, fork lifts, chain saws, wide-cut mowers, trencher and aerators.
