Job Detail
- Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment.
- Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
- Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
- Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
- Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
- Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
- Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
- Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Greens keeping, light construction, equipment maintenance methods, tools and safety practices.
- Manual and automatic sprinkler and drip irrigation system operation and maintenance.
- Grass and plant care, deficiency symptoms and appropriate method of correction.
- Occupational hazards and required preventative measures.
- Planting, cultivating and caring for shrubs and flowers.
- The use of equipment and tools of the trade.
- Proper application of chemicals.
- Use hand and power tools and equipment effectively and safely.
- Work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Follow oral and writ10instruction.
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time.
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and walk 100% of job time. Mandatory Requirements: Experience as greenskeeper and basic construction trades, including knowledge of golf course grasses, property/ turf and how to maintain it.
- Experience using and maintaining Greens Mower, Rough Mower, Zero Turn and or Walk Behind Mowers.
- Experience working outdoors unsupervised.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug test. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
