Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee landscaping and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, lawn care, and landscape maintenance, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols on-site. The Crew Leader will play a vital role in delivering exceptional outdoor environments for our clients while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Duties
Lead and supervise a team of landscape technicians to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks based on team members’ skills and project requirements
Operate and maintain various hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation setup, and garden care
Oversee the installation and repair of irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning throughout the season
Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met and safety procedures are followed
Communicate with clients regarding project progress, concerns, or special requests
Assist with training new team members on proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment use
Qualifications
Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related outdoor maintenance fields
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance techniques
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely
Leadership skills with experience supervising or leading a team preferred
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
Pesticide applicators license for spraying fungicides and spreading fertilizer
Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
