Job Detail
- Support glaziers in measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panels according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with the handling and transportation of glass sheets, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and material movement.
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, framing, or other structures necessary for glass installation or repair.
- Help with the installation of glass windows, doors, mirrors, and other fixtures following blueprints, schematics, or instructions from senior team members.
- Aid in the fabrication and assembly of glass components as needed for custom projects or remodeling jobs.
- Perform general construction tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, and painting to support overall project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and materials while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation to ensure precise measurements and accurate installation processes.
- Support the team in remodeling projects by hanging doors, installing fixtures, cabinetry, or metal framing components.
- Participate in quality checks to ensure all work meets safety regulations and client expectations.
- Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry, remodeling, or maintenance person services is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools (e.g, screwdrivers, hammers), power tools (e.g, drills, saws), and fabrication equipment used in glass installation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to glazing techniques and fabrication processes.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team environment.
