General Maintenance Technician

Position: General Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a talented general maintenance technician to join our team! the general maintenance technician will be responsible for a range of tasks from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for all vaughn industries locations and subsidiaries.

$35 – $40 an hour

Diploma in releted field is required

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively
• Diagnose equipment problems using appropriate diagnostic tools. repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime
• Operate, monitor, and maintain all Building Automation Systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, belt changes, and filter replacements to extend equipment life
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and building systems to identify potential issues early
• Respond to facility-related emergencies such as fire alarms, system failures, or urgent repair needs
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, tests, and repairs
• Collaborate with production teams, facilities management, and other departments to ensure efficient facility operations
• Complete inspections in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and standards
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including above-ground piping and valve maintenance
• Clear clogged pipes, toilets, and sinks as needed
• Perform minor electrical repairs, such as changing lights, replacing switches, and servicing receptacles
• Install conduit and wiring for new electrical or low-voltage device installations
• Maintain access control, camera, and security system field devices
• Schedule and document annual fire alarm testing and annual sprinkler system testing
• Perform miscellaneous repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and other facility components
• Conduct overhead door preventive maintenance and repairs
• Oversee janitorial services to ensure the facility is maintained to company standards
• Maintain and archive facility documents, drawings, reports, and related records High School diploma or equivalent required
• Driver’s License – required
• Certification in HVAC a PLUS!
• 5+ years experience working as a Maintenance Technician – preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing Electrical systems
