Job Detail
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites or existing structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing tasks
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and pliers as well as power tools for efficient installation and repairs
- Perform pipe threading and welding when necessary to ensure secure connections
- Conduct remodeling projects by replacing or upgrading existing plumbing components
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work within larger building projects
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify root causes
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites, including heavy lifting techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Read basic math measurements for precise pipe cutting and fitting
- Operate construction equipment such as scaffolding or forklifts when required for site access or material handling
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for project documentation
- Assist with HVAC system components related to plumbing when needed
- Support general maintenance person tasks including minor carpentry or remodeling work
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields with hands-on work on construction sites
- Knowledge of construction methods, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of plumbing systems, HVAC components, and pipe installation techniques
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site access or material transport
- Maintenance Person experience or remodeling background is a plus for versatile project support
