Job Detail
- Conduct precise measurements of flooring areas on-site using industry-standard tools and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project scope
- Prepare detailed estimates for flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, fixture installation, and related services
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate understanding of project requirements
- Assist with site inspections to assess water damage restoration needs or other repair work related to flooring projects
- Support the installation process by providing measurement data for carpentry, cabinet installation, or remodeling tasks
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for minor adjustments or site preparation as needed
- Maintain knowledge of flooring care procedures and restoration industry standards to advise clients effectively
- Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating and flooring installation preferred
- Strong background in construction site experience including tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics essential for accurate measurements and project planning
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, and other relevant construction tools
- Knowledge of restoration processes including water damage restoration and general remodeling projects advantageous
- Experience in the restoration industry or maintenance person work is a plus
- Prior exposure to construction painting or cabinet installation is beneficial but not required
