Heavy equipment/truck mechanic job summarywe are looking for a heavy equipment mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple to complex heavy equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks for our company vehicles.

Employment Experience is required

• Evaluate mechanical and electric problems in vehicles and machinery using diagnostic equipment
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major vehicle components, assemblies and systems including, but not limited to, engine, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, brake systems, etc.
• Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records
• Inspect, troubleshoot, report, plan and then conduct service or repairs as instructed by Ops Manager
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards, ensuring shop equipment and tools are in safe operating condition
• Staying up to date with technical specifications of relevant equipment
• Other duties as assigned
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
• Must provide own tools appropriate for the position
• Knowledge of tools required to perform major repairs
• Must have experience working on excavation type equipment and semi-trucks
• Have the ability to diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment
• Understand and carry out oral and writ10instructions in the English language
• Capable of lifting arms above shoulder level to install and remove transmission components as well as stand, bend or stoop repeatedly over time
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background/driver check is required
• Compensation
• Based on experience – Compensation listed based on hourly rate plus OT
• Full Time: 40-50+ hour work week
