about the company. at beewise, we develop and operate autonomous robotic beehives that actively protect and support bee colonies — enabling sustainable pollination and revolutionizing agri-tech. we combine robotics, ai, and environmental tech to bring precision to the heart of nature. our operations are expanding rapidly in the u.s., and we’re building a growing technician team to ensure continuous monitoring, service, and performance across our hive network. this is an exciting time to join a developing operation with global impact, where your contributions shape real-world results. fort meade, fl (field-based, with occasional travel). about the role. we are looking for a motivated and hands-on field technician to join our operations team and support the deployment, maintenance, and repair of advanced robotic beekeeping and agri-tech systems. you will be working directly in agricultural environments — orchards, fields, and bee pastures — ensuring that our robotic hives and related equipment operate reliably. this role is ideal for someone with 3 years of field technician or assembly experience, who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical problems, and supporting sustainable agriculture.. responsibilities.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on robotic hive systems and related agri-tech equipment
- Apply ECOs (engineering change orders) and implement system upgrades in the field
- Support installation and setup of systems in orchards and bee pastures
- Use a technician app and ticketing system to receive assignments and report completion of tasks
- Carry out field assembly work, including electrical and mechanical adjustments
- Collaborate with teammates and engineers, providing clear feedback and maintaining strong communication
- Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and presentable at all times
- Work primarily in the Merced area most of the year, with occasional travel for periods of 2 weeks to 1 month as needed

Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience as a field technician, installer, or equivalent role - Relevant background in electronics, mechanics, repair and field maintenance, or field assembly
- Comfortable working in computer-based environments (apps, ticketing systems, reporting tools)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in outdoor conditions
- Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills — organized, professional, and customer-oriented
- Experience working with ticketing systems for task assignment and reporting back
- Living in the Merced area, with willingness to travel during certain seasons

Required Skills
Background in robotics - Experience with installation of technical systems
- Hands-on experience in mechanical/electronic equipment repair
- Previous experience with agricultural tools or equipment repair
- Familiarity with beekeeping environments or agri-tech systems
- Prior work in a fast-growing or well-organized field operations environment
