- We are looking for an experienced Carpenter as well as general carpenters assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, and other related construction tasks or general labor experience on job sites. For the experienced position a successful candidate will be able to read blueprints, measure accurately, and use a variety of hand and power tools. We are looking for some1who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong work ethic. This position has the potential to lead a crew for the right candidate. Carpenter assistant needs to be able to work physically, take instruction, and be willing to learn to measure and cut as well as use other construction equipment.
- Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, door frames, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
- Assemble and fas10materials to make framework or props using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
