Job Overview
Charles Construction Services is actively seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our dedicated team of construction professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures in educational, healthcare, industrial, and commercial settings. This includes tasks such as framing walls, building staircases, and installing cabinetry, all within the scope of our general contracting projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of carpentry techniques, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, metal, vinyl, and other materials.
Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and construction drawings.
Perform tasks such as framing, cabinetry, stair layout, and interior finishing.
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Maintain and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Carpenter in commercial or industrial construction.
Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools specific to carpentry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and manipulate heavy tools and materials.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
