Job Detail
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or power tools.
- Perform surface repairs such as plastering, drywall patching, and stucco application.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform masonry or concrete finishing as needed for renovation projects.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks including framing, carpentry, or restoration work.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed on-site.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials needed for projects using construction estimating skills.
- Assist in remodeling projects by performing tasks such as demolition, framing, or maintenance work when required.
- Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and ability to read blueprints or schematics.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, and stucco application.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding, and fixture installation.
- Background in renovation projects involving remodeling, restoration, masonry, concrete finishing, or masonry work is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements and estimating project needs are essential.
- Additional maintenance person experience such as carpentry (trim carpentry frame carpentry), masonry, or maintenance work is advantageous.
