Job Detail
- Operate excavators proficiently as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
- Carry out assigned tasks from management while prioritizing safety in all operations.
- Perform daily inspections on excavators and other heavy machinery to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Work with other areas, such as Maintenance, to ensure the equipment is properly kept.
- Be adaptable to working in extreme weather conditions and at various sites throughout Sarasota, FL.
- Wear all PPE.
- Be a team player.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications: Must be available to work a 10-hour shift from Monday to Friday and be open to possible weekend shifts if needed.
- The ideal candidate should possess 2 years or more of hands-on experience operating excavators.
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and other business interactions.
- Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
- Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification.
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools.
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information.
- Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements.
