Job Detail
  • Organize bid documents clearly and efficiently, aligned with internal standards
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to resolve ambiguities early in the process
  • Conduct detailed quantity surveys, tailored to labor, material, and equipment cost breakdowns
  • Customize cost data by building component or area, based on client needs
  • Drive the bid process from start to finish, ensuring timely reviews and confirmations
  • Prepare clear, professional written proposals that meet both internal and client expectations
  • Present proposals with confidence in client meetings and internal reviews
    Estimating & Cost Strategy Stay current on production rates, construction techniques, and innovative materials or methods
  • Incorporate factors like scheduling, sequencing, and site safety into cost considerations
  • Coordinate with project managers to validate manpower projections and subcontractor quotes
  • Ensure estimates meet applicable building codes and seek value-engineering opportunities
    Post-Award Support Confirm contract scope and facilitate a smooth handoff to project management
  • Assist with initial budget development and vendor/subcontractor procurement
  • Support project managers with change orders and track progress against estimates
  • Participate in project closeouts to improve future estimating accuracy and efficiency
    What You’ll Bring A 4-year degree in construction management, construction technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Proven background in estimating, preconstruction, or related field within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, code compliance, and cost evaluation techniques
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Clear, professional communication—both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet critical deadlines
  • Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software, and general computer literacy
  • A collaborative attitude and the adaptability to handle shifting project needs
