Job Detail
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery to perform site preparation, grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling.
- Manage the operation of specialized vehicles such as concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and farm machinery to support various construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to interpret plans and execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in setting up construction sites by preparing the terrain and ensuring all machinery is positioned correctly for ongoing work.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and promote a secure work environment for every1on site.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational needs or issues that arise during shifts.
- Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site preparation and earthmoving activities.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks or tanker trucks preferred.
- Hands-on experience with concrete mixers or farm machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
