cryowest specializes in the contract manufacture of high precision stainless steel tube weldments and manifolds for the semiconductor, aerospace, and energy industries. our business is setup around quick-turn prototype manufacturing. our core, in-house capabilities of high purity welding, tube bending, rapid machining, uhp cleaning and testing have enabled cryowest to lead the way for the most demanding weldment products. the more technically challenged the problem, the better.as engineering manager, you will manage the engineering function responsible for releasing production documentation, developing fabrication strategies, resolving manufacturing issues and providing new business support. this role offers the right candidate the opportunity to contribute towards ensuring a lossless transition from customer requirements within a contract manufacturing environment roles & responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers chartered with developing order-specific manufacturing documentation, fabrication methods, facilities plan, safety protocols and testing practices
- Project Manage a continually churning portfolio of around 30 customer projects, 300 annual
- Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the engineering and manufacturing system that help the organization ensure that orders meet customer requirements, on time, and meeting the companies margin targets
- Transform customer design “puzzles” into manufacturable products
- Lead and implement continuous improvement framework, including visual controls, process standardization, leader standard work, Gemba walks, manning strategy, process checks, and daily accountability and continuous improvement for all employees
- Assist in evaluating and prioritizing new business efforts to align with manufacturing capabilities and business goals
- Support the development and implementation of engineering best practices across teams, encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing
- Help drive the company’s mission, management objectives, and quality standards throughout the engineering and manufacturing functions
- Work extensively and directly with Quality team when quality issues arises and as audits or certifications are required
- Play active role within internal and external root causes and corrective action processes
- Provide weekly reports to upper management
Skills Required: Expertise with UHP and HV tube weldment fabrication including TIG, Orbital Welding, tube bending and conventional machine technologies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Understanding of basic manufacturing principles, decision making, deductive reasoning, and troubleshooting
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines

Education and Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory role - Seven (7) years of combined experience in managing Engineering and/or Technical Services in a contract manufacturing environment, cleanroom a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering Compensation: Pay range – Engineering Manager: $150-200k/annual Expected hours: 40 per week, on site Your actual level and salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and vary based on the following factors: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience
