Job Detail
  • None. Duties Responsibilities: Determines the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
  • Identifies electrical problems with a variety of testing methods.
  • Repairs and replaces wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspects electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers or high voltage systems (Line Voltage).
  • Loads test emergency systems.
  • Installs sound systems, security systems, and voice and data systems.
  • Installs lighting, electrical outlets, circuit breakers, and distribution systems.
  • Secures brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other equipment.
  • Tests and troubleshoots motors, VFDs, transformers, and other equipment.
  • Maintains power and lighting control systems.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to the immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills Abilities: Excellent attention to safety.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes. Education Experience: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology from a Trade or Vocational school, Community College, or Technical school, preferred.
  • Minimum 4(4) years’ experience as an Electrician or Electrical helper.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License. Master Electrical License, preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital setting.
  • Prior military experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Work Environment: Exposure to external weather conditions that can include inclement, heat, and humidity.
  • Exposure to construction site environments, including noise, dust, and machinery.
