Job Detail
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
- Use hand tools (e.g, screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g, drills, saws), and specialized electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems while following safety protocols in compliance with NEC standards
- Perform maintenance on existing electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installation activities on-site
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or hazards related to electrical systems
- Document work performed and ensure all installations meet code requirements and safety standards
- Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings. construction site experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by construction environments
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and framing carpentry is a plus
- Valid electrician license or certification is preferred but not mandatory for internship roles
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction or industrial settings
