Job Detail
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring all work adheres to NEC standards and safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
  • Use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wire cutters, along with power tools like drills and saws to complete wiring tasks efficiently.
  • Operate testing equipment including ohmmeters, ammeters, and low/high voltage testers to diagnose electrical issues precisely.
  • Manage low voltage systems such as security alarms, communication lines, and control circuits with careful attention to detail.
  • Work on construction sites performing frame carpentry tasks when necessary to support electrical infrastructure installation.
  • Follow safety procedures rigorously by inspecting work areas for hazards, wearing appropriate PPE, and ensuring all electrical work meets OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience
  • Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments is essential. construction site experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes such as NEC and local regulations is required.
  • Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is necessary for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with testing instruments like ohmmeters and ammeters for diagnosing electrical issues effectively.
  • Ability to work with high voltage (HV) systems safely while adhering to all safety standards.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools essential for electrical work on construction sites or maintenance projects.
  • Experience working with low voltage systems including security systems or communication wiring is a plus.
  • Knowledge of frame carpentry can be beneficial for supporting electrical infrastructure installation in construction settings.
