- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load material at aggregate plants and safely transport it to other plants or job sites
- Clean vehicle, including the spraying down of trailers when needed
- Report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that be required
- Tarp loads when needed to protect product being hauled
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours; overtime be required
- Ability to travel to various work locations based on work availability and customer demand
- Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
Education
High school diploma or GED
Requirements/Qualifications
Class A commercial driver’s license with a doubles endorsement - Safe driving record – No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months; No serious moving violations within the past 36 months
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong customer service skills
Preferred
Experience in aggregate or heavy construction industries - 2 years of commercial driving experience
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check - Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing
