Job Detail
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks struts, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and electronic controls on diverse machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial equipment.
  • Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs.
  • Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing phases—experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers is highly valued.
  • Assemble new equipment or repair existing units by following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed. communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding work status and recommendations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times while handling heavy lifting tasks or working in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Assist with on-site equipment inspections and preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Skills
  • Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background in heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC units, and suspension components.
  • Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG/TIG welding), soldering irons, and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers is a significant plus.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service and wheel alignment.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment repair including farm machinery and HVAC systems.
  • Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or installations.
  • Electrical experience related to automotive or industrial systems is highly desirable.
