Job Detail
- Oversee the operations and daily activities of Diesel Mechanics
- Work with Production Manager to ensure accuracy of daily schedule
- Train technicians to perform all standard jobs/duties timely and correctly the first time
- Lead department procedure to ensure quality and completeness of work performed
- Develop, oversee and implement new hire training process
- Set expectations and drive productivity through teamwork, respect, and willingness to help and support others
- Resolve any departmental issues or concerns that may arise
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures, as well as regulations required by any city, county, state or federal governing body
- Coordinate and drive housekeeping efforts and maintenance activities for shop equipment
- Monitor and ensure trucks are in line with preset budget
- Well versed in aftertreatment (certification is a plus)
- Coordinate and lead daily communication and monthly department meetings
- Assign work and manage processes. ensure accurate and on-time completeness of assigned service orders Required Education, Skills Abilities: High School Graduation or equivalent
- 5+ years of diesel mechanical experience
- 5+ years Management experience
- Must have strong management characteristics
- Electrical aptitude preferred
- Must have proven successful experience leading a team of 8+ employees
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
