Job Detail
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Work with hydraulics systems to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with hydraulics systems and equipment repair.
- Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical issues effectively.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
