Job Detail
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct repairs on automotive systems such as brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Service and maintain diesel trucks, farm machinery and heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to complete complex repairs and enhance team efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for moving equipment or parts during service tasks.
- Stay updated on the latest industry practices and technologies related to diesel mechanics.
- Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engines.
- Proficiency in automotive repair techniques and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience working with various power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to dig into complex mechanical problems and provide effective solutions.
- Familiarity with suspension systems and their repair processes.
- Experience servicing farm machinery a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
