Job Description

Job Detail
  • Implement CI changes on the shop floor to support the CI Projects and/or small improvement ideas
  • This include, but is not limited to, parts presentation, material flow, inventory methods (such as Kanban), and workstation design
  • Assist process owners, sponsors, and team members in meeting project event goals related to reducing product lead times, cycle times and WIP inventory, increasing productivity, and eliminating waste
  • Create standard work, time studies, and other shop floor methods for production support
  • Follow up with event sponsors, process owners, and project team members
  • Document and track results of activities
  • Identify and solve root cause problems
  • Oversee sustainment activities to ensure identified improvements are fully implemented and all items on the project list are completed on time


  • Qualifications & Requirements

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED is required
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience is required
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and related business processes is required

  • Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge

    Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Basic mechanical skills using hand tools and small machine operation such as drill press, cut off saw

    This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

    This position is subject to the following physical activities: balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions


  • Visual Acuity

    The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes


  • Working Conditions

    The worker is subject to working in a busy, noise environment some days with extensive physical activity
  • Other days using a PC all day to create documents for production needs
