Position: Commercial Hvac Service Technician

Coastal mechanical, a rogers building solutions business unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the southeast and is currently seeking hvac service technicians to work on large commercial projects in the tampa area.

Job Experience is required

• Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with controls systems, including thermostats, VAV boxes, etc
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair complex HVAC systems efficiently.
• Skilled in identifying root causes of malfunctions and implementing effective solutions. Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical principles related to HVAC systems. Tools and Equipment Proficiency: Comfortable using standard HVAC tools (e.g, multimeters, gauges, and hand tools).
• Knowledge of specialized equipment like vacuum pumps and refrigerant recovery systems.
• Physical and Safety Requirements Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50–75 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, or in varying weather conditions.
• Compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols. Communication and Customer Service Skills Ability to explain complex issues to clients in simple terms.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and understand English
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
• Writ10and verbal communication for documentation and reporting. Additional Requirements Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with service management software or mobile apps for scheduling and reporting. Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Essential Functions: Climbing up and down ladders
• Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
• Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
• Work in heat and various other weather conditions
