Job Detail
- Perform work to the standards established for the Carpentry trade.
- Read and interpret plans, schematics, and drawings. Perform work according to the specifics required in these documents.
- Effectively and safely use the right trade tools for the projects assigned.
- Utilize tools and research required by trade to accomplish quality and timely work assignments.
- Continuously investigate methods and means to improve the cost effectiveness and quality of work within the trade.
- Provide guidance to unskilled labor to ensure safety and professional project completion.
- Analyze projects by working closely with the Foreman in identifying potential issues that may arise.
- Work closely with other trades where projects require simultaneous and overlapping trade work.
- Perform all work according to safety standards and promote safety on all job sites.
- Skills and Abilities: Knowledgeable with grades and ADA requirements.
- Ability to bend, crouch and stand for long periods of time.
- Strong knowledge and experience interpreting drawings/project specifications.
- Experience at efficiently and safely operating trade tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Education and Experience: AS in Construction Trade or equivalent trade certification from an accredited program preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on trade experience in carpentry.
