Job Detail
- Operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines and grinders to produce precision parts.
- Program CNC machinery using Fanuc controls and CAM programming software.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications.
- Utilize GDT principles to ensure accurate part dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing techniques.
- Assist in tooling setup and adjustments for various machining operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Strong understanding of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming tools.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience with plastics injection molding is advantageous.
- Ability to operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques as needed.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing experience..
