Job Detail
  • Safely disassemble and assemble molds, hot runner systems, and related components
  • Operate CNC, manual mills, lathes, sinker EDM, and surface grinders to produce precision parts
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges accurately
  • Program and operate CNC machines using MasterCam or equivalent software
  • Collaborate with senior mold makers to execute new mold builds and repair existing tooling
  • Follow detailed work instructions from drawings, electronic files, and verbal communication
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on tooling and shop equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for tooling efficiency and safety
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance within the work area
  • Document activities, communicate findings, and support departmental KPIs
  • Participate in team meetings, safety briefings, and ongoing skills training


  • Must-Have Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years of experience in mold making, repair, or maintenance
  • Proficiency in mechanical and mathematical reasoning (fractions, decimals, shop math)
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused work ethic
  • Job stability and consistent work history are mandatory


  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications

    3 years of mold making or repair experience
  • Experience working with injection, EPP, and insert tooling
  • Ability to conceptualize and visualize mold designs or part geometry
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and quality documentation systems
  • Forklift or material-handling equipment experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred


  • Interview & Work Schedule

    Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday – Friday
  • Interview Process: 1 On-Site Round (Mandatory)
  • Location Preference: North Carolina (Mebane / Greensboro / Raleigh–Durham region)
